It's here! It's here! I can't believe it! I thought my story was just a feature in the magazine but to be on the cover?! I am speechless!!
... And so the journey begins! Stage 1? The horses, me and Vagn Hestetransport are off to Lastrup, Germany to Guido Klatte's place where we'll layover for a few hours before heading with Klatte's crew to Amsterdam airport! From there, it's fly time with Dutta Corp. and the team straight to Miami international! The horses will have to quarantine during thanksgiving, but if all goes well (fingers crossed) the horses will be released Friday!
Its been an emotional week getting packed and ready for the trip. I'm going to miss everyone in Sweden and the team at Norrehee dressage stable. Especially Moa, who unfortunately last minute had to stay in Sweden :( The horses and I are going to miss you!!
Its always nerve-wrecking when horses travel, especially this distance, but we are very prepared and have a great team waiting for our arrival in Wellington, ready to tend to the horses if they need anything at all!
Besides the stress, we ALL can't wait for warm weather and sunshine!
It's been just over a week since we were downunder in Australia. Everything was backwards with driving on the other side to the time difference to the fact it was spring in October/November! ☀️
Had an amazing time where we were able to teach some clinics and ride some horses, play tourist, eat plenty of food, play beach bums, hang out with family and close friends, and jump out of airplanes! 💪🏼😎
All the jumpers and dressage riders did great and we saw some really lovely horses! Biggest take away from all the lessons- we all MUST ride with more energy, rhythm, power and straightness! It's one of the basics but something so many of us forget! Plus, it's the easiest to forget when we are riding or training alone (I forget more often than I'd like to admit).
A few added kilos later and with our Aussie tans- It was no surprise we hesitated a little coming back when we saw the snow forecast in Scandinavia... ❄️❄️
I posted some photos on Instagram but there are just too many to spam my page with! So instead here's a little gallery of them 💗 hope you enjoy and get the opportunity to travel to this amazing country!
Hi everyone! So the other day I had such a sad shock... my website had been hacked and erased! Everything was gone... old posts from years ago- gone!
I was an emotional wreck finding comfort in chocolate cake and online tack window shopping...
A few hours later however, I decided that this could be a great thing... or at least I am convincing myself of that 😹
In a bit of a panic I quickly built this website but am starting to kind of like it! So for now, until my wordpress is rebuilt, my site and blog will live here!
Thanks for sticking with me! There's so much happening and has been happening I will be posting a lot, especially what's going on this month!
